Clearer. Calmer.
More to discover.
Little Steps 0.30.1 brings together the recent story and companion updates, with more comfortable everyday controls.
Website version: 0.30.1 · build 40 · 29 September 2026. Google Play determines the version available to your tester account.
Latest fixes in 0.30.1
- The adventure day row starts with your first day, instead of an empty calendar week.
- The diamond chest animation is available for older users too, while respecting reduced motion and Android animation settings.
- Parents can preview the diamond chest film alongside Pip’s clips.
- Selected Pip clips have revised, action-matched sound effects.
Also included from 0.30.0
- The screen stays awake while the lantern timer is running.
- Quiet hours use simple minus and plus buttons.
- All four parent cheers fit together on screen.
- Clearer counts and streak wording in all five languages.
- A new calm film of Pip under the stars joins the optional quiet breaks.
30 comic stories, eight pages each
A story is selected each week from 30 adventures. Each confirmed task opens a page, up to eight. The final page keeps the ending a surprise. Previously opened pages remain in the album; if a story returns, it can continue from where it stopped.
Pip speaks through translated speech bubbles. Tap a bubble to hear it read aloud when the corresponding offline Android voice is installed and speech is enabled.
Three stories—The Sock Monster, The Snowman Friend and The Pumpkin Parade—also have a film. It opens with the last page, not before. Other stories do not have a film yet.
Pip grows with real steps
Confirmed tasks help Pip grow from Tiny sprout to Blooming Pip. Growth never goes backwards. Pip’s lines respond to local routine progress; this is prepared, offline content, not an AI chatbot.
Encouragement, with your family’s rules
Check-ins get immediate chest feedback. By default diamonds remain pending until a grown-up confirms. The optional parent-controlled Trust mode makes check-ins count straight away. Parent cheers are saved on the same device for the child’s next visit; they are not messages sent over the internet.
The separate “For me” option is for a teen or adult managing their own routines. It does not use the child-mode parent approval and PIN flow.
A lantern, not a deadline
A visible lantern timer, a gentle heads-up and an extra-minute option support the next task. Optional personal timer records are not a competition with other children.
The streak lantern celebrates showing up. Gaps can end a consecutive streak, but they never take away earned diamonds, furniture, comic pages or Pip’s growth.
Still here to help
- Small-step checklists, First–Then, Help me start and quiet breaks.
- Twelve “Pip does it too” routine films, alongside the existing clips.
- Task photos stored locally, a home-screen widget and a printable chart.
- Parents’ Today, Routines, Rewards and Settings sections.
- Offline routines, no ads, reduced motion and five languages: English, Spanish, German, Russian and Italian.
Keep your routines when updating
Update through Google Play with your tester account. Do not uninstall or clear storage to force an update: routines and progress are stored locally and there is no cloud restore. If an earlier APK causes a signing conflict, contact support before changing anything.
