How do I install or update?

Follow the three-step Google Play guide. Use the same Google account for the group, opt-in page and phone’s Play Store. Play determines which release is available to your account.

Why are diamonds pending?

A task check-in can show encouragement and a chest while approval is pending. By default, a grown-up’s confirmation makes the diamonds spendable. If a parent enables Trust mode, check-ins count straight away instead. Playing a film or reopening a celebration does not earn extra diamonds.

Where can parents preview Pip’s films?

Open Parent space → Settings → Pip films → Preview Pip’s films. The new clips join the existing library. Related films vary by task and day; a particular new film will not play every time. See the film guide.

How do the comics and story films open?

A confirmed task opens the next page of this week’s eight-page story. Find it in Pip’s Home and keep opened pages in the album. Three stories have an extra film after their last page; not every comic has a film.

Why can’t I hear a speech bubble?

Enable speech in the app and check Android’s media volume. Install an offline text-to-speech voice for the selected language in Android’s speech settings. Speech bubbles stay readable if no offline voice is available.

Where is the new calm film?

It is an optional quiet-break film, not a reward that must be earned or a film automatically played after a bedtime task. Quiet breaks remain available without completing tasks.

What does the lantern mean?

It celebrates the current streak and shows the last seven days. A missed day can end a streak, but earned furniture, diamonds and stories remain. A celebration can appear while tasks still await parent confirmation.

What are Trust mode and “For me”?

Child mode uses a parent PIN and approvals by default. A grown-up can enable Trust mode to count check-ins immediately. “For me” is a separate self-managed setup for a teen or adult; it does not use the child-mode parent gate.

Where are the parent tools?

Today: approvals and weekly note. Routines: tasks, schedules, photos and printing. Rewards: family rewards and First–Then. Settings: sound, language, accessibility and Pip previews.

How do task photos work?

Edit an existing task in Routines and choose a photo. Android’s photo picker lets you select it; a copy stays in private app storage. Use Remove photo in that editor to remove the copy.

How do I use the widget or fridge chart?

Add the Little Steps widget through your Android launcher’s widget chooser. It shows the next task; tapping opens the app. In Parent space → Routines, choose Print a routine chart for the fridge to open Android’s print or Save as PDF options.

How do I reduce sound and motion?

Use Parent space → Settings for sound effects, speech, Pip moments and reduced motion. There is no continuous background-music player. Films retain their own audio; check the playback sound controls and Android volume.

Does a family reward require a streak?

No. A parent sets the reward and its diamond cost in Rewards. Streak celebrations and family rewards are separate.

Why are notifications off?

Enable reminders both in Little Steps and in Android settings. Android notification permissions, channels and battery settings can affect delivery.

Can I reinstall to fix a problem?

Please contact support first. Uninstalling or clearing storage removes local progress and selected task-photo copies. There is no cloud restore. Updates from a differently signed APK may need a separate device or profile.

What should I include in feedback?

Your app version, Android version, phone model, language, relevant settings and what you tapped. Avoid children’s personal information, medical records and passwords. Feedback privacy.
